Fashion Trends for the Cold Winter Months Express How Students Represent Themselves

A new year means it is time to fill your wardrobe with the latest 2016 trends. Students and teachers are all expressing and finding themselves in different ways to show their style inside and outside the classrooms.

People in the fashion world are constantly changing and experimenting with something new everyday. People notice all the time how styles go around in a huge cycle that eventually will be used in another part of life again.

Many students either prefer to dress in sweats and sweatshirts. Other students like to dress in a peacoat, cute dress, dark tights, and boots this winter season. It all depends on how you decide to represent yourself.

“I really like to express myself in fashion. I like to dress up on occasions, but I’m set with a nice hoodie and sweatpants on a daily. If I could dress like that everyday I would.” senior, Jarvis Cain spills.

It is a good idea to wear layers to avoid hyperthermia. If a classroom is too hot you can easily take off a layer until you are comfortable enough to focus.

Dressing comfortable at school is a part of the magic to succeeding. If you look good you tend to feel good. Feeling good about yourself is a confidence boost that gives you a better chance at taking in knowledge and getting your work completed.

Emily Rogers, junior, loves to look nice.

“Clothes shows my interest in style. This is the season to be dressed warm. My typical outfit that is my favorite is wearing in leggings and a sweater.”

A scarf and cardigan always look good together during this season. They will help keep your neck and arms warm. A cardigan will help you follow the dress code by covering parts of your skin that need to be covered.

After the holidays there are always good deals online and in stores to shop for accessories and clothes you need.

Faith Nail, freshman enjoys fashion and there accessories.

“I got all kinds of clothes for Christmas that I have been wearing since we came back to school. I think that the fashion this year will be more cute.”

Black and white prints never go out of style. Those colors are more natural colors that will go with anything.

Fur vests, fur tops, and fur jackets will catch people’s attention walking down the street and even through the hallways.

Peacoats, trench, denim, or casual jackets will keep you warm outside or when a classroom is too cold.

If you want more of a professional look, blazers and bombers make an elegant choice.

It is important remembering when you wake up and enter the building to dress for success.
